We started our day at 3:30am so we could cross the desert before it was too hot to take. Made it on the road at 4:15am.
Our first stop was to get gas in Barstow. My god…it was only $2.75. It sure has come down from last year.
On to Needles. Got there around 11:00am. Temperature was 103 degrees. We didn’t stop.
Next stop Kingman. More gas. Much cheaper…$2.34.
On to Seligman, Arizona. We love to stop at this hick town on Route 66. Usually get an ice cream at the Snow Cap but today we splurged and even had a cheeseburger.
Major rain just before we got to Flagstaff.
Flagstaff the gas was $2.45 but when we drove down the road we saw it for eleven cents cheaper. Oh well.
Mad it to our destination. Cameron, Arizona. Met up with John and Cathy Macdonald. Nice wine and our favorite Navajo tacos. Yum.

When I come to Cali I expect to not only ride in the RV but I want to drive it around town assuming Jeff will let me...although I suppose that I can just hotwire it in the middle of the night and go for a joyride
