Okay...time for relaxing. I went to Durango for a lunch with several of my high school friends. We had such a special class. These beautiful ladies will be my friends forever. We graduated from Durango High School in 1965. This year we all turn 65. Some relationships go back to first grade. I am so blessed.

Friends Visit

Four fabulous days with our friends John and Terry from Laguna Beach. Showed them the sights in and around our Dolores home.

Lilacs picked along the road. They smell wonderful.

Yesterday we planted three more trees: 2 Colorado Blue Spruce and a Red Maple.

In the process....we found asparagus growing wild. It was delicious for dinner with a steak smothered in mushrooms,

Yesterday we mowed, tilled and raked. Today we planted a cherry tree, an apricot tree, an apple tree, 7 blackberry bushes, four lilac bushes and seeded the bare spots in the lawn. Rocks galore!!!

I think a beer is called for!

Yummy Dinner

Lemon and Smoked Salmon Pasta

3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

 the zest of two lemons 

Juice of one lemon

3 cups chopped arugula 

1/4 pound smoked salmon 

1/2 cup creme fresh pasta

two cloves chopped garlic

pasta

 Boil pasta dump all ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Add a little pasta water and toss again. YUM
