Jeff went fishing this morning. I went to the Anasazi Heritage Center. It was great and now when guests come I have another place for adventure. Southwest Colorado is a wonderful place to check out if you are interested ancient civilizations. Below is McFee Reservoir. The heritage center is just above. It is about a half mile walk to the ruins.

Yesterday was not quite so relaxing......
Thistle is the common name of a group of flowering plants characterised by leaves with sharp prickles on the margins. According to a legend, an invading Norse army was attempting to sneak up at night upon a Scottish army's encampment. During this operation one barefoot Norseman had the misfortune to step upon a thistle, causing him to cry out in pain, thus alerting Scots to the presence of the Norse invaders. Well if they had been coming through our property we certainly would have heard their painful cries. Yes, the flowers are beautiful and I understand why they are the flower of Scotland but boy are they a pest. Check out the pile Jeff and I pulled yesterday. My bowling friend Detta is probably rolling in her grave. Sorry Detta.
